Q: erased HD on my Macbook pro 2012

hi all,

I erased my hd this evening and it would not take my password so i rebooted it. Now when I restart it I get a flashing blinking question mark.

How do I get back to reinstalling El Caption on my macbook pro

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Why did you erase the hard drive?

Do you have a backup?

HI again.

I erased the HD because im giving this computer to my sister and want her to set up her own account. Upon further investigating I was able to get osx Mountain Lion downloaded.

I guess ill have to work from there.

If you load Mountain Lion under your ID, she will never be able to update it again. You really should set up an Apple ID for her and then download everything under her ID.
