May 25, 2016 1:56 AM in response to kojo44by Kenichi Watanabe,If you plan to get a replacement Apple device, and the iPhone still appears in iTunes when connected, do a backup of the iPhone using iTunes. You can do this from the iPhone's Summary settings screen in iTunes. When you get the replacement, restore it from that last backup using iTunes.
You cannot "import files" (such as song files) from an iPhone to the computer's iTunes library, except for items purchased from the iTunes Store. iTunes syncing is generally in one direction only, form iTunes library to device. If you want to transfer separate files from iPhone to computer (not back up the entire device), you'll need to use a third-party method or utility.
