We have written a 96 page history of our community and have an extensive hyperlinked table of contents that works fine while in Pages.
But when we export the file to PDF the Table of Contents is no longer hyperlinked
Any help is appreciated

Q: can a hyperlinked Table of Contents in Pages be exported to a PDF Format and still work?
Pages v5.6.2 does not export PDF with functional hyperlinks in Table of Contents. Pages '09 v4.3 does export PDF with the hyperlinks active in the Table of Contents. Both tested on OS X 10.11.5.
