Q: How do you turn the passcode off?

On the watch, "Disable Passcode" is disabled. In the Apple Watch app, "Turn Passcode Off" is disabled. I'm not amused, because the passcode is a major pain if you're trying to use the watch while you're not wearing it.

Worse, when you try to turn the "Simple Password" switch off, you enter the "Change Password" mode. Sad to see such a buggy implementation here in 1.0.

I Just purchased my apple watch only yesterday, so I'm a bit of a noob.

But yes, you're right, apple watch only requires your passcode 1st thing in the morning, when u first put it on & each time you take it off during the day, you have to re-enter the passcode when u put it back on again.

this to me makes total sens as there is sensitive information on there, apple pay, bank account info etc....... I would have thought that this "inconvenience" to some people would actually be a welcome security feature.... But hey ho!! Lol, I don't mind putting in my passcode once a morning!! Lol!!

MY problem started with the addition of the exchange email on my phone.  Somehow the requirement of a password on the phone, for the email, carries over to the watch requiring a passcode.  Fortunately I dont need access to this email but once a week so. Therefore, I just deleted the email account from my phone and was then able to disable the passcode feature on the phone.  Problem solved.  Hope this helps.
