Q: How to recover deleted files from terminal after using this code rm -rf ~ /.Trash/* ?!?

How to recover deleted files from terminal after using this code rm -rf ~ /.Trash/* ?!?

Recently I used this code to access my trash on my mac as I couldn't access it normally. Due to finder not opening or working.

I typed in the code and now all my files from my Desktop/Documents/Downloads have been deleted !!!

How do I recover all the files from the trash that I recently deleted, without costing me a penny?

Is there any way to get the files back using terminal or any other program?

Your help and advice will be really appreciated. Many thanks. Alex x

This is not possible through terminal.

If you use Time Machine now is a good time to Restore lost files.

As long as TM is turned on—whether you are using it or not— you will have local snapshots.
