Q: When I hit the play button for a voicemail it doesn't play

I have an iPhone 5 and when trying to listen to voicemail messages, it won't play. I hit the play button (arrow) and the pause button show but it doesn't play anything and the tape/message count stays the same. How do I correct this?

iPhone 5, iOS 9.3.2

Did this just recently start? Try force restarting:
Hold both the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears.

Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your content.

If that does not help, contact your carrier and ask them to reset your voicemail account. Voicemail is a carrier function.

VM is usually a carrier function - I would talk to the carrier tech support
