Q: Error 6.727 update firmware Airport Extreme.

Got error 6.727 while updating firmware for my Airport Extreme. Any ideas?

 

Running 10.11.4 om a medio 2012 MacBookAir 13-inch.

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. 

     

    I see that you are getting an error after updating the firmware on your AirPort Extreme. I would start with resetting the Base Station, first a soft reset and if that doesn't work a hard reset. See the following article:

    If that doesn't work, you can downgrade to a previous firmware.

    If I have a computer or device that doesn't work well with my AirPort Base Station after I have installed an update, how can I install an earlier version of firmware if it is available?

    OS X

    1. Open AirPort Utility.
    2. Select the base station you want to downgrade.
    3. Hover the mouse pointer over the version number and hold down the Option key to turn it into a pop-up menu. Press the mouse button to open the menu.
    4. From the menu that appears, select a firmware version and click OK. If you select Other, you will be prompted to manually locate the firmware update.
