May 27, 2016 8:17 AM in response to danedog21by Rudegar, the indicator does not display if there is water in the phone but if the indicator was exposed to water
I would treat the device as if it was wet and place it in an open bowl of uncooked rice for a min amount of 48Hours on a raditor
or heated bathroom floor before trying to turn it on

May 27, 2016 8:49 AM in response to Rudegarby Peizoandme,The rice trick may work, but is inherently dangerous as rice is very dusty and may cause more damage to the electronics inside. I would recommend placing the device in a bowl of desiccant packages instead. And of course back it up as soon as possible and contact AppleCare for a repair prior to a failure.

If the external indicator on the iPhone 6 is not pink but the phone briefly got wet is it OK to turn on?
Your indicator's location will differ depending on the model. In previous iPhones, it could be found in the headphone jack or 30-pin connector port. In the iPhone 6, it is found by removing the SIM Card tray and looking inside.
