Also things like bookmarks, emails and pictures etc.

No backup, including the one on your present computer, will guarantee the retrieval of all internal app data/app scores because the app developer may have chosen to manage such data through other methods.

In my experience, iCloud backups are now the safety bet when considering internal settings of apps, etc. Way of the future, more or less.

Bookmarks sync with iCloud. Email is managed by your email services, not your iPhone.
NOTE: any content that came from your own library and not from iTunes, cannot be restored through iCloud unless managed by iTunes Match or Apple Music.
