Uninstalling Wacom Software didn't help. Sorry, the problem is Apple not Wacom.

According to my information no Powerbook can handle Lion or later.

So what is wrong in your message?

Well it could be another app that's causing this. Please post an Etrecheck report: that could reveal something: http://etrecheck.com

(BTW: why did you mark this topic as 'Solved', when it isn't?)

Old-school users often still use term like iBook or Powerbook for newer models. It's quite obvious that TS meant 'MacBook Pro'.

I suppose so, but he has to say it himself, and he might give some more information as well.

The situation is the same on my iMac. Other people in an other forum seems to have the same bug on their Mac after the V10.11.5 update.

Check your mac for Antivirus apps, or tools like MacKeeper and Memorycleaner and that sort of crap. Uninstall those.

If you want more help, start your own thread here and post an  etrecheck list in there.

Hi Eric, first make sure all of Wacom's software is uninstalled including their driver and plugin in. Just an explanation, at least 6 people were helped by removing Wacom software when it caused a conflict with OSX 10,11.5. There was a new Wacom driver released last week but i don't know if it works with 10.11.5 or not.

That being said, one can have the same symptom, not shutting down, for more than one reason. I know it was caused by another third party app for one person. Unfortunately, I don't remember which one.

Sorry for the delay. I had things to do first before I could work on the computer again. I will look again for anything Wacom. I am pretty sure I got it all uninstalled. I also have installed many third party apps from apple's apps store and I will check one by one. It could take a while. I can always put them in later. I will let you know if I find the app that is causing the problem. Thank you for the info and the help.

I have a MacBook Pro with intel i7.  So far every one but Csound1 has been helpful and nice. Don't bother me again Csound1. You are not helpful.

I would also like to every one thank every one else that has tied to help me with this problem.

I have always used PC and windows until now. Apple is new to me and after using their computer I am NOT a fan of Apple. I am ready to spend $3000 on a new computer and It won't be another Apple. Sorry, but I had to say it.

It seems every time Apple updates OSX they break something. The OS becomes dysfunctional AFTER THE UPGRADE and I always have to fix what Apple breaks before I can work again.  Can some one tell me why Apple keeps doing this?

Why can't I cut and paste with out using keyboard "shortcuts" ?  *** is up with that?

Any way, everyone but Csound1 has been great. Thank you for helping me.
