Q: I only to download a copy of El Capitan version 10.11.15 to my desk top but DO NOT want to install it at this time. I am in the process of fixing my filing system and will need a brand clean copy of the current OS X installer.

I had been instilling the installer working with a senior advisor.  I have a very, ver, slow internet provide.  I suspend it last night and want to to resume the download and can not find where to return to "resume" download

Log into the App Store using the same Apple ID and check if you can see the OS X Installer in either Updates or Purchases. If not, find it in the Featured section. The button next to the installer may not say Resume, but that's OK. Hen you click the Get or Download button, it will double-check what's already downloaded, but will not actually re-download the file from the start.

The Installer downloads to your Applications folder.

Just curious, how slow is "very slow"?
