Q: Cleared out puter, now can't get back in, how do I do it?

I cleaned out an iMac Pro for resale and took all info out of it, including the owner's name, everything. Then I rebooted, now it is asking for name and password but will not accept what was in it. How does a new owner get into the puter?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

I have restarted and it is now downloading and installing OS X. Am following instruction you gave. Will let you know how I make out.

kaz-k, I reinstalled OS X and it rebooted with the same clouded window asking for my name and password.
What else can I do?

What I finally did was erase the hard drive and then reload OS X. Then I got the "Welcome" screen.
