Q: Apple ID

In the MANAGE MY APPLE ID under devices I do not see my iPhone. I only see my iPad mini. Why is this?

Is your iPhone signed into iCloud for the Apple ID you are looking at? And just to make sure, is the device you are looking for running at least iOS 8?

I am on my PC and signed into icloud. On my mini has iOS 8. I didn't like this update version so I never updated my phone. My iphone is still on iOS 7. So I guess if I do not have iOS 8 on my iPhone I won't be able to see it under devices. Is this correct?

Yes, that's right. What don't you like about the update? By the way, the current iOS version is 9.3.2 so maybe you'd like that better.

Silly question: so I would only see my devices if I am signed into iCloud? (which would explain why there aren't any listed)

Actually, it's been a while since I did it. But I remember I was so unhappy I was searching for a way to go back to iOS 7.1. It just seems anytime I update something, it changes everything. Apparently I am a creature of habit.
Thanks for the info. Maybe before I take another leap and update anything, I will check in with you first.
