Q: AirPort Time Capsule
I need to know why my AirPort Time Capsule is flashing an amber light and how to fix it.

It sounds like you need to know that when the Time Capsule light is flashing amber, that it has a message for you, and that you can use AirPort Utility on your Mac to find out what the "issue" might be, so that you can address it.
I'm assuming that you are using the current Mac operating system or a recent version of the operating system on your Mac.
Open AirPort Utility (Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility)
Click on the picture of the Time Capsule
In the smaller window that appears, check to see if there is an Update button. If there is, then new firmware is available for the Time Capsule and you can install it by clicking the Update button
Otherwise, look for the Status setting and click on the small amber dot there for a message with more information about what the issue might be, along with a suggestion on how to remedy things.
