May 30, 2016 3:46 PM in response to Knockadoonby OllieL85,I also have this problem.
online chat have suggested that this is a hardware issue to do with Siri itself, as I was able to get this mic to function with FaceTime
ipsw.me suggests that iOS 9.3.1 is still signed at present, so may see if I can downgrade and if that changes things

Jun 22, 2016 9:28 AM in response to OllieL85by OllieL85,Just as an update
I reverted back to iOS 9.2 with no change in the problem.
I Then spoke to a genuis at my local store reporting to him that I think this occurred when I unpaired my watch to be sent off for repair.
I was then told that the other 4 people had reported this problem had also reported this same problem to him after impairing a watch.
Is this common with anyone else?

Jun 28, 2016 8:33 PM in response to Knockadoonby 6plusbeach,Having same issue except mine is a refurbished 6 plus from Asurion. Definitely the rear mic that is used for front cam video. Records in complete static. I did restore from a back-up. So hopefully Apple puts out a new update to fix this issue so I don't have to wait for a new phone.

Jul 4, 2016 11:50 AM in response to Knockadoonby Mr.Frazier,I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.? and upgraded to iOS 9.3.2 today so that I could download an app. Everything seems cool so far EXCEPT Siri doesn't respond when I hold down Home button. Sigh. I will try to update if I come across the fix.

Aug 5, 2016 10:49 PM in response to Knockadoonby tm40,Same issue with iPhone 6 on ios 9.3.2 & now 9.3.3. Siri does not seem to use the microphone.
Closing all apps, rebooting, no effect. Tried changing Siri's language, no effect.
If I switch Siri off, "Voice Control" dialing still works, so mic is clearly still working.
Problem also occurs with bluetooth-hands-free mic in car.
Really frustrating.
