Q: MJLQ2AE/A
hi there,
I'm fairly new to the Apple's notepad scene
I would like to gain more information on the model MJLQ2AE/A
This is the model sold in Kuwait by an electronic retail store with the below specs
- Intel Core 4th Gen i7 2.2GHz Processor w/ Turbo Boost Technology.
- 16GB 1600 MHz RAM, 256GB SSD Flash Storage.
- 15.6" Diagonal LED-Backlit Display with IPS Technology.
- Intel Iris Pro Graphics Shared
- Fullsize backlit English/Arabic Keyboard
- X Yosemite Operating System
What I would like to know is, what model year is this book as I do not see it mentioned anywhere, and if this is the latest Macbook pro in its specified configuration with the updated graphics and the new touch pad
Also, knowing this is a middle east version ID'd as MJLQ2AE/A, is it the same equivalent of MJLQ2LL/A sold in the US?
Would anybody also like to mention if I should wait for the 2016 MB Pro or get this for the price its been offered in Kuwait
We're being charged with $2,285.00 for it with 1 year warranty :/
Link to the Macbook I'm looking at is below
MacBook Pro with Retina display, Other OS, MJLQ2AE/A

It's a Mid 2015 MacBook Pro

At this point it's the current MacBook Pro offered.

Yes. Same version as in the U.S. minus the Restrictions imposed by some Middle eastern countries such as the removal of Facetime.

There has been no mention of a new MPB coming out. While its not out of the realm of possibility we may see something in the not too distant future, we are not allowed to speculate on such things.
Only you can decide if you want to wait and see if something is announced.
