I believe that if you have an open case with Apple before your warranty expires, they will still perform the repair after the warranty has expired if you have an open support case. Try and get an appointment scheduled at the genius bar at the nearest Apple Store to you in the UK.

May 31, 2016 1:45 AMby eric.shio,Ah, makes sense. Unfortunately there is no direct customer service email for Apple. You can try calling them and opening a repair case that you could then pursue once in the UK.

May 31, 2016 1:50 AMby Donnaleigh79,Its all very frustrating indeed, I have only recently moved back to South Africa after living int he UK for over 11years, I have always had Apple products, too many infact, but I've never experienced any issues with support until now.
