May 31, 2016 6:29 AM in response to Emakinby seventy one,I assume you have previously been able to scroll both ways. If that is true, the scroll wheel has probably become soiled. Get a white cardboard or paper sheet, turn it upside down and vigorously move the mouse around in a figure of eight pattern for twenty seconds or so. You will see the detritus left on the paper. Then try it again.

May 31, 2016 6:32 AM in response to seventy oneby Emakin,I have been able to scroll both ways in the past. I tried your suggestion and it, unfortunately, still will not work. Do you know which settings need to be checked in order for the scrolling to work on both up and down? Thanks so much!

May 31, 2016 6:50 AM in response to Emakinby seventy one,Go to systems Preferences > mouse and look at options. This document may also help. But I would also advise to keep trying with the white cardboard. It is an old mouse, it may well have a scroll wheel soiled with sweat, etc.
