Just got a new 12" Retina MB. Is there any way to connect it to an Apple Thunderbolt Display?

Unfortunately, the MacBook only has got one USB-C port, and the Apple Thunderbolt Display requires a Mac with Thunderbolt to work with, so you cannot use it.
