Q: Pages doesn't load from iCloud in chrome

Hi all,

 

I have been using pages on my Mac, and windows computer (via Chrome) for a couple of years now. Recently I've found that Pages doesn't load on my windows computer when I open it in chrome. iCloud loads, then I click on Pages, but it stays on the 'loading' page without any further changes.

I'm able to access specific Pages documents that I have saved to iCloud from explorer (I've linked iCloud drive to explorer) on the computer but cannot make new documents because I can't access the main Pages window in iCloud.

 

Is there any fix for this, or is it an ongoing issue?

Edit: just checked and it doesn't load in chrome on my Macbook either.

    Hey Doc,

     

    Has this resolved itself yet?

     

    I use iCloud Pages in Chrome on a PC all the time and it's always worked well for me.

     

    Obvious questions: Do you have the latest version of chrome? Have you tried un- and reinstalling it?

     

    It's weird to me that it doesn't work on either of your computers but works unfailingly on mine. Would like to find you a solution.

    Hey Hendrixfan220,

     

    Unfortunately it has not

     

    It's worked well since I started using it but it's always been a bit slow, and now it doesn't load at all. My one theory is that it may be struggling to load as I've got so much stuff on there (it was getting worse until it eventually cacked it). I don't know if that's feasible or not... Is it best to try contacting apple support directly for something like this, will they help me?

    Edit: I have also tried it on internet explorer btw.. I doubt this is a problem on my end.

    Hendrix fan, yes. But my little wing is Stevie Ray all the way. On my current endlessly repeating playlist at this very moment. (Now I'm going to have to add Hendrix's. Though oddly enough I am allergic to Clapton's version. )

     

    Yes, it does sound like a size issue.

     

    With something like this apple support is hit or miss. That said, I think it's definitely worth the time commitment. And you might have more luck with your second or third call. (Then again, there's always chat support, which somehow feels like less of a time suck than the phone 'cause you're able to do other stuff while they're thinking and researching.)

    Oops it completely slipped my mind that Stevie Ray did it. Was always more of a Hendrix fan myself . As for Clapton's version... not sure what happened there.

     

    Interesting, I might give it a shot. I don't think I get access to the chat feature because I'm out of warranty for all apple products . First I'll try deleting some things and see if that helps out.
