Your Apple Watch playlist is limited to 1 GB by default. In the Watch app on your iPhone, you can change this setting to 2 GB, 500 MB, or 100 MB. If you prefer to limit by song number, you can limit your playlist to 15, 50, 125, or 250 songs.
Your Apple Watch must be on it's charger and make sure it's charging.

Jun 1, 2016 3:14 AM in response to Carolyn Samitby Saint Valentine,Hello. I have the exact same problem. Its a real coicendence that this happened cause I just signed up for Apple Music and I was excited to finally import some playlists into my watch. I have also tried restarting both devices multiple times with no fix. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I think it's safe to assume that it's a bug to the new watch software update and the best we can do it wait it out
