Q: I have MacBook 10.8.5.

I have MacBook 10.8.5.

I have Safari 6.2.8.

I want to upgrade my Safari. Can I do that with 10.8.5 MB?

I have no software updates.

Thank You.

Not without upgrading the computer’s OS.

You have to update your operating system to El Capitan in order to update Safari.  That way you'll be using the most current version, 9.1.  If you don't want to update to El Capitan or can't update to El Capitan, you'll have to download another browser.  My recommendations would be Firefox or Opera.

I have asked the moderators to move this post to the OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) discussion area.
