Q: itunes unknown error 11503

I have a Macbook Pro 2012 (not retina) running El Capitan. Recently updated iTunes, running 12.4.0.199

Having errors accessing iTunes store at times & even accessing account. Every time I do get into my account & try to download available downloads, it as an error.

This error, 11503, is connected to when I try to purchase something & it will not go through. Instead I get this unknown error. Have tried searching for solutions, but all I can find are for outdated versions of iTunes and OS X (most recent I found was from 2013).

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

According to Apple, http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ there seems to be a problem and they are investigating. Check back to that site to see when it gets corrected.

I just checked the system status page you provided, however, the iTunes store is actually showing up with as having no problems...

It very well could be they have just gotten it back up, or no one has reported problems with it. Usually when theses things go down, and the iTunes in iCloud is down, so it is probably down and not reported. I would be patient and wait and see.

I'm having the exact same problem. It happens in my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad. Many times I have to wait over 3 or 4 days after the updates show up before I can download them successfully.
