Q: Replaced my hard drive now Macbook is extremely slow.

Hello everyone, i recently started having issues with my hard drive cables becoming corrupted. After replacing a few of them i purchased a new seagate 7200 rpm hybrid drive. I didnt restore any back-ups and instead decided to start fresh and do a clean OS X reinstall from recovery. I took forever but machine is finally up to date and running El Capitan but is painfully slow. Booting can take up to 20 minutes and forget trying to download applications i can barely surf the web. I have zapped the PRAM and have tried reinstalling the OS with no luck. I would think the machine should be running faster than ever with this new hard drive so something has got to be wrong.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
