Q: I have deauthorized iTunes on a school-issued Macbook Air. All of my music is stored/backed up on my iMac at home. If I delete playlists and songs from the Macbook will it effect my master library?
I have deauthorized iTunes on a school-issued Macbook Air. All of my music is stored/backed up on my iMac at home. If I delete playlists and songs from the Macbook will it effect my master library?

Unless you are "home sharing", which it doesn't sound like you are, the two libraries (macbook and iMac) are separate, so changing one will not affect the other. Best way to test would be to delete a couple of songs you can redownload easily, and see if it changes. But I don't think it will be an issue.
