Jun 3, 2016 12:54 AM in response to Thnoby eldavies,It may unfortunately be a mechanical issue, if you've ruled out all software issues. Have you dropped it recently?
I've seen this happen when the cables connecting the screen to the main logic board aren't fixed tightly in their sockets. With the right tools it's not terribly hard to unscrew a couple screws & lift the screen up- but of course you do this at your own risk. Plenty of Youtube videos on the topic

If a third party repair shop did that, the battery might be already defective and expanding, which will put some pressure on the screen, leading to these symptoms.
In that case Apple will not fix that for you, because of the unauthorized 3rd party service. Also, there are no genuine spare parts sold by Apple to those repair shops.
