Q: Message. Can't create a new account: << Do Not Localize >>

I try to create a new account. Select "Other message account..."
Each attempt ends with the message << Do Not Localize >>.

And that's it.

My accounts preferences dialogue. Right side is empty

3. Can't fill the fields. After pressing "Set Up" button, the contents of the field disappears:

It's definitely Mac OS, not a Windows?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Experiencing the exact same issue. Haven't seen this resolved anywhere online after some extensive searching.

    Anyone have any ideas?

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is a couple of years old, less people are likely to look at it. You can link to this one.

    Hi,

This Original Post needs a reinstall as not all of the Message components seem to have loaded.

The Bonjour account is missing (not deletable) and obviously the iMessages panel is incomplete.

The Adding of a new account needs to be able to load the Account Type Plug-ins which is in the System side of things (nothing to do with the User account).

This folder is in Hard Drive Name/Library/Messages/PlugIns  Note the Path Bar across the bottom

It could be the plugins themselves are missing or the instructions to read them is corrupt.

Either way a reinstall is going to be best.
