Q: I want to store documents saved on my MacBook Pro into into the cloud

I would like to store documents saved on my MacBook Pro into iCloud so I can access from my iPad or iPhone. I currently store them in individual files in the document section. Any advice on having these automatic please go to the cloud so I don't have to run a different software to get files from each device.

In Finder, move them to the iCloud Drive. You can open iCloud Drive app in your devices and move from there.

In the Finder Preferences/Sidebar pane check iCloud Drive:
In the System/iCloud preference pane check the iCloud Drive checkbox:

Now in any Finder window click on the iCloud Drive icon in the sidebar to open the iCloud Drive. Move you documents into it:
If you use Keynote, Pages, Numbers, TextEdit there's a save to iCloud Drive option and that will create its own folder.
