The pictures that were on my iPhone are all in my iCloud and I need to retrieve them to my desk top, how do I do this ?

If you're on a Mac, turn iCloud Photo Library ON in Photos > Preferences > iCloud. Select to keep Original, full-resolution images on your computer.
