Q: Windows Installer not running

After running the Boot Camp Wizard, after my computer re-started, it did not then open the Windows Installer, and I can't figure out how to open it.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), iOS 9.3.1

Hi there sp144,

It sounds like you are unable to get windows installed into your bootcamp partition. You need to have a bootable installer created on a USB flash drive:

How to install Windows using Boot Camp
Get a Windows disk image
When you purchase Windows, it comes as a disk image file (ISO) that you download, or as an installation disc or USB flash drive. If your copy of Windows came on a DVD, you should create a disk image of it to work with Boot Camp. If your version of Windows came on a USB flash drive, you can download an ISO from Microsoft.

Once that disk image is properly created it will automatically detect it when the USB drive is plugged in when the computer restarts after you use Boot Camp to create the partition. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, all the best!

I'm having the same issue with my 2015 MacBook. The ISO for Windows is bootable because I've used it to do installs on other systems. The MacBook simply restarts and never sees the installer on the USB device.

2015 (and later) Macs do not use a USB Installer, but use an internal partition called OSXRESERVED which is deleted after the installation completes. Please see https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/assistant/6.0/#/bcmp173b3bf2 for reference.

Mine sure as **** didn't. Boot camp specifically requires a USB stick to even start the process. I had to do a complete reinstall of OS X to even get Boot Camp to work. Then Option boot and chose the Windows installer setup on the USB stick.

1. What is the version of OSX?
2. Can you post the Mac Model Identifier from System Report -> Hardware? Do not post your Mac serial number.
3. Did your BCA UI have three options, two options or none?
