Q: How can I view my music in list view in iTunes 12.4?

Its about 30 seconds in and I can't believe how much I hate the 12.4 redesign. Where for instance is list view for my music? Where is Playlist view? Where is the Home Movies tab? Do they test this crap on chimps or just throw it out there and assume we will just suck it up like lemmings?

While the other "helpful" answer gives you a list view of all your songs, I notice it doesn't help in changing to a list view for a single playlist, to which I have found the solution, hold ctrl and press J for view options...

That is super useful but I believe you meant Command-J. Thanks for the tip. I would still love to see 'Sort By Date Added' as a great deal of what I do is different versions/mixes of the same song.

Easy, put the library (or playlist) into Song View, then add the "Date Added" as a column and click on the header.  If this is a playlist, then right-click on the playlist name and select "Copy to Play Order" to save the sorting.

Yes, command+j for Mac, probably "ctrl" for Windows. It usually seems that when Apple hides features that were readily visible, it's because they are about to be phased out, which is probably what they did with the conversion to mp3 feature. That's the next thing I'm about to look up.

Am I missing something? I don't have a "Library" section in my sidebar or the "Songs" tab anymore.  Nor do I have any "view options" in the upper right corner.  I want to view all the songs so I can scroll down to the bottom and add the artist info for the song that is shown playing.  Maybe the new OS update screwed this up somehow?

Never mind, I figured it out.  Just needed to unhide the sidebar to get the Library tab back.  Too much coughee this morning, haha.

For me, it was hard to find because I didn't have the "View, Show Sidebar" option checked (Ctrl+S).

After that, it was easier to find everything. The sidebar might be hidden by default, or stuff that you used to be able to find otherwise is now only in the sidebar.

Please, no more updates, every time an update is released I start to consider getting off iTunes platform (which would e a problem due to the amount of itunes content I have), still at some point I have to consider if it's worth putting up with these "change for the sake of change" updates.

    So don’t update.

No one is forcing you to update.
