Q: Downloaded movie from iTunes last night, now saying 2 hours to download

keeps changing download time too - from 1hr 13 up to 2 hrs 20 etc - totally random times but we started watching last night - realised we had wrong order of movies and went to another one, now tonight it's trying to download again!  Have seen a fix/ workaround for an older version, but doesn't fit with the Siri Remote....

Just for info, the ATV 4 does not "download" and store movies. It streams them from servers on the internet.

The iTunes movies app tries to buffer far enough ahead that the movie will play without interruption, once it starts. So if your internet connection is not fast enough, that can be a while, see Get help playing or streaming content on your Apple TV - Apple Support.

You can install a speedtest app on ATV and check the actual speed that the ATV sees.

Is the ATV on WiFi or ethernet?

Is the DNS set to automatic on both ATV and the router, so you're using the DNS from the ISP?

Are you using any type of VPN or unblocker?
