    Please explain what you want to do - when you import photos to iPhoto the thumbnails are automatically generated - youo do not need to do anything

     

    and verisy that you are using OS X 10.6.8 as you state and tell us what version of iPhoto you are using

    Do you mean you want to export a batch of thumbnails?

     

    File -> Export and set the size as appropriate. Use the custom option to indicate the length of the longest side.

    Hi Terence,

     

    Thank you for answering the question I was trying to ask! If I had just noticed the expander like when you go to print a letter, I would have solved most of my problem. I really appreciated your link--great explanation.  You were very kind to answer on a Sunday as well. I can see why you are level 10--super fast , professional and helpful! You made my day!
