Q: Cannot active iPhone 5s due to Activation Lock

I have an issue with a corporate handset that a disgruntled previous employee refuses to remove from his iCloud profile.

Can Apple assist with removing the Activation Lock?

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.1

thanks, but the person who's account it is linked to is refusing to remove the Activation lock. so this does not help

In the case of a corporate-owned phone it's possible that Apple may be able to remove the lock. You would need to take the phone to an actual Apple Store (make an appointment) together with documentation to prove the company's ownership. I can't promise that they will remove the lock, you could discuss this with them first when you phone.
