Q: locking into an apple music account

Hi there,

I have the following problem:

I already have an apple music membership, but I'm not logged into it on my iPhone 6.

Now if I want to log in, it's only letting me sign up for a new membership.

Why isn't there something like an "already have an apple music membership" button?

I'm paying for this but can't use it, also I get really stressed out without my beloved music.

Looking forward to some help from y'all.

Thanks!

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2

If you bought an Apple Music membership with a different Apple Id than the one currently signed in on the iPhone, you will need to sign out of the account on the iPhone, and sign in with the Apple ID that bought the Apple Music membership.

    Settings->iTunes & App Stores->Apple ID->Sign Out

There is no such thing as a freestanding Apple Music Membership, it has to be tied to an Apple ID.

You need to be logged in under whatever Apple ID you have the Apple Music account with in Settings>iTunes and App Store.

I am currently using the same Apple ID which I used to get the Apple Music membership, plus I tried locking out and in again.

Maybe the problem is my payment method. I use a prepaid credit card and apparently there was no money left on it. Apple Music did tell me that the debiting was not succesfull. But now that I re-charged the card I still do not have any access anymore, though I'm pretty shure Apple is charging my credit card, because the membership still exists, since I didn't quit it.

If the payment could not be completed, then no membership is active, and you would need to actually successfully purchase the membership for it to work.

It does not activate if it cannot be successfully charged.

You can verify if you have an active subscription tied to that Apple ID by following this support document to Manage your membership.

Manage your Apple Music membership on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC - Apple Support

If it does not appear in your subscriptions, then there is no membership active.

I think after the payment was not succesful, it quitted the membership automatically, because I just could get a new membership with the same ID. I just hope I now don't get charged double?
