Jun 7, 2016 3:08 AM in response to GB00290by Rudegar, file types are not something a computer maker or operating system developer support as such

Jun 7, 2016 3:30 AM in response to Rudegarby dialabrain,FWIW, Apple does indeed have their own RAW support along with others such as Adobe and Affinity. Apple's last update was 6.19.

Jun 7, 2016 11:42 AM in response to GB00290by Gochugogi,When Apple was actively supporting Aperture as a pro app they were fast to provide RAW profile updates for new cameras, often beating Adobe out the gate. Now not so much now since the demise of Aperture (Photos app is aimed at iPhone and amateur use). Adobe created a 80D RAW profile at the end of March 2016. It's June 2016 and still no Apple Camera RAW for the 80D! The good news--if you don't use Adobe products--is Canon's free RAW editor, DPP 4x, is decent and renders conversions much better than Aperture or iPhoto ever did. DPP only has global controls (no brushing) so localized edits will need to be done in Affinity Photo or PS after conversion.

Jul 12, 2016 10:22 AM in response to GB00290by Mesiasfor80DxD,Hi! I have found this for me (now it works *.*) and maybe for you:
Affinity Photo has two RAW engines: our own and Apple (Core Image RAW); you can switch between them opening a RAW image, going to menu View ▸ Assistant Manager... and changing it in the first dropdown (you have to re-load the image again for the new setting take effect). So Apple may also provide support for this camera through an OS X update.

Jul 12, 2016 10:27 AM in response to GB00290by Gochugogi,On June 25, 2016 Apple finally released Raw Camera Update 6.20 for the Canon 80D and a dozen other new cameras. It works great in Aperture 3.6x, Preview iPhoto and Photos! OS 10.11x required of course.
