Q: Boot camp not working!

1. Bootcamp will not download and create support driver USB. It just freezes once download is finished.

2. Will not recognise drivers installed on a USB that have been downloaded from Apple Support, consequently will not start the install process.

3. Will not create an install disk ISO files.

Basically none of the bootcamps processes are working properly. It has been driving me crazy for 4 days. Is there another way to install Windows?

I am running 2 x internal drives in an iMac 2015

    Hi Julz Vern

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support communities. I've got some info that may help you get your Bootcamp up and running.

It looks like you've got a partition already made, if you made this partition for bootcamp we'll want to remove for now and then start again as Bootcamp will create it's own partition.  We can do this from the Disk utility in recovery mode. If you have any information on the clone partition you may want to back that up or move it before continuing to remove it. You can Follow these Steps to remove the partition:

1 - Shut down your mac
2 - Press Power and press and hold Command+R to enter recovery mode.
3 - Once in recovery select Disk Utility > Partition
4 - Select the partition and select "Erase"
5 - Select the hard drive, then the partition and click the Minus sign (-) to remove it.

Once it's removed you can restart your Mac as normal and follow the step sin this article to install windows using Bootcamp. If the same issue persists, let us know what version of windows you are trying to install.

A 2015 and later Mac does not use a USB Installer. It uses an internal partition called OSXRESERVED. Please see https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/assistant/6.0/#/bcmp173b3bf2 for details and further help. Please disconnect all external storage, hubs, and retry your installation after a SMC and NVRAM Reset.
