Q: Photos Question
I tried to sync my iPad (yes, an old one) to the computer and got this message. I have not proceeded as I read it as it will delete all my photos from the computer if I follow through. It HAD worked great and updating the OS did not cause a problem with an album of new photos last October. Can anyone please advise me about this and how to proceed? Thank you.
iPad, iOS 4.3.3

Are you syncing the iPad using iTunes?
Then this message is telling you that photos you previously synced to your iPad using iTunes from a different computer will be removed from the iPad and replaced by the photos you are now syncing from your computer to the iPad.
It will not delete any photos from your computer.
iTunes Photo sync can be a bit confusing. It works this way:
- You select items from a phot library or folders on your mac to sync to the iPad. These items will be stored in separate albums on your iPad, not in the camera roll.
- If you sync the iPad again, the previously synced items will be removed from the iPad and replaced by the new synced items.
This syncing does not delete any photos from the camera roll on the iPad, and it will not remove any photos from the computer you are syncing with.
