Q: Removing a virus? Mackkeeper?
On an older backup computer (Applecare long since expired) an insidious message keeps popping up that looks as if it were planted there by Mackkeeper, which I foolishly tried years
ago. I'll try to attach a message that keeps popping up. How do I get rid of this? Help, please. Thanks Tom in Texas. MacBook Pro 10.9.4

El Capitan has many security changes in it. One at least of which is not allowing such JavaScript loop pages preventing you from closing the page. Click the x to close the tab, and you get a choice to leave the page or stay. You couldn't even attempt to close the tab before, or press the back button.
