As soon as you've signed up, click here, turn off automatic renewal, and if needed, remove the card; if desired, you can redeem an iTunes Store gift card instead of entering the credit card number.

Any free offer anywhere will require you to put in credit card information.  It doesn't mean you can't use the service for the free trial period and then cancel when that period is up.  The day before the three months are up, cancel your free trial or subscription, and then you won't be charged for anything.

You will still need a valid credit card.

You won't be charge unless you continue to use Apple Music after 3 months.

I would say that a little differently:  you won't be charged unless you forget to proactively cancel before the three months is over.

It will not stop automatically, which of course is exactly why they want your credit card in the first place!

You will still need a valid credit card.

You will be charged whether you continue to use Apple Music or not unless you cancel your subscription to Apple Music before free 3 months is up.
