Q: Creating a spam whitelist on Server 5.1.5

I have set the spam filtering to be aggressive given the tremendous amount of spam that my system has received.  Recently, a sender I know has started having his messages flagged as spam.  I'd like to create a whitelist that will includes sender e-mail addresses that should never be flagged as spam.  However, I cannot figure out where to adjust that setting, or where to create that file.

Has anyone been able to create a spam whitelist file on Server 5.1.5, and if so, what settings files need to be adjusted?

You can create a spamassassin whitelist.

    Create the following file:

    /Library/Server/Mail/Config/spamassassin/z_user_whitelists.cf

(you can name it anything you like, but prepending z_ makes sure it is read last after all rules have loaded).

Inside above file add the users to be whitelisted:

    whitelist_from user1@domain1.com
    whitelist_from user2@domain2.com
    whitelist_from *@entiredomain.com

Save and restart mail services (or at least amavisd).
