Q: same email is being sent constantly while not showing up in Sent box

using my iPhone 6, same email is being sent constantly while not showing up in Sent box. for two days now

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2

    Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

    I know it's important to keep you email working as expected. If you have not already, try restarting your device by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake Button and then sliding to power down.

     

    Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Once your Phone restarts try to resend or re-compose the email and send again. If the issue persists after that, let us know if the email has any attachments, or if the problem is happening with all of your emails.

    fone re-started etc. no change in situation

    i eventually deleted my Hotmail account details from Handset & changed password. problem seemingly OK except i have no email on my fone unless i log on via Google

    maybe somebody guessed your password and send from the browser then the mail would not show up in your outbox

     

    but now you changed the password they does not have access any more

     

    I would try to add the account again

    Removing the account was actually a great next step to take. As long as you can login to the account via a web browser like Safari or Chrome, go ahead and try to re-add that same account on your phone. 

    You can re add the account under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account
