Q: sample rate glitch!

Somehow FCP has changed the Sample Rate on my clips in the info tab. these clips are in a multicam sequence nested layers deep in groups. They sounded fine yesterday, but today they sound muted/muffled - and checking in the info tab they are showing as "6 kHz" instead of the "48 kHz" they were recorded in. the original files inside the library show the correct 48kHz rate when I open them in QT.

How can I correct this weird glitch!!!

Help me Tom Wolsky!

    Here's what I did, yall.

I went to the bin and relinked the files with themselves. This corrected the sample rate on the bin clips but not the sequence clips. I drilled down to the angle viewer, and all the way down there the clips were still 6kHz. Then I zoomed in down to the beginning of the angle clips and dragged in fresh copies of the bin clips to the correct in-point. Hope this works...

    Crap...

Well, it worked for a short session. Ran out of time on Friday with this project. Now coming back to it and guess what? The clips in the mcam sequence, and the sequence itself have reverted back to 6kHz. But not the clips in the bin FWIW. Will I have to spend an hour fixing this every time i open it? Is anyone reading these words?

Guess what, FCPX? This feels terrible. Makes my blood boil. Makes me want to stop saying nice things about you when my CC loving friends mock me for staying with you.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

OK, maybe it doesn't take an hour to do the workaround, but come on! This is very frustrating.

    Fixed, finished, and exported.

Hope to never reproduce that series of fails...

thanks for closing your thread  and I'm sorry no one could really help you. Never seen or heard of that issue before and I could not even imagine how it was caused.

It's is happening AGAIN - clips in project (timeline) changed to "6kHz" while clips in event (bin) are still correct "48kHz" - long project, many clips to fix and NO GUARANTEE they will stay fixed until export.

Misery. Someone tell me I'm not alone!
