Q: Contacts list

When I open contacts list, pick a someone to write and click the envelope button I am directed to a Google sign in website. Why. Now I have to manually type the e-mail address manually.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

And you have tried resetting your default email client to Mail?

Are you really using OS 10.6.8?

What do you have the default email client set to?

In Contacts, is the email you are clicking on have a leading "sendto: "?

Am using v 10.10.5
Default mail is Apple mail
I pick the recipient, then click the little envelope, this opens up a google web page requesting me to sign in to g-mail.
There is a box to enter my e-mail address & then a box that says "continue"

Hi; Happens to all contacts.
How do I reset default mail app?
PS I don't use g-mail.

Thanks for your help. I went into mail & hanged default.
