Q: iPod Classic 80GB battery won't charge

I have an iPod Classic 80GB 5th generation. I was getting the "Very Low Battery" message, so I replaced the battery. But it still will not hold a charge. IPod only works when it is plugged into a power source. Any suggestions to fix?

Thanks, but maximizing performance really isn't the issue. This is a brand new battery that was plugged in overnight, and when unplugged, went straight back to "Please Wait: Very Low Battery."

Then it's better to take it back to the store where you have bought it and ask them to check whether this new battery is not damaged.
