Looks nice. More visually polished interface but I like the previous UI more.

It might take about a week to look "normal."  Thanks for the feedback.

Useful tip. You can dismiss the top banner by hitting the x if you want more room.

I was used to the old look, but I am sure we will all get used to the new version.  It will take some time for me to adjust to the new look.  At first I could not see how to find previous pages of a post, but did eventually discover the arrow.  I do not always appreciate change, but as I said, I am sure I will adjust to the new look.

Thanks. You should have heard the outcry with the last major Forum update two years ago. The transition to this one appears to be going smoother. If you can't find something besure to ask.

The text is suddenly very small and everything so faint.   I am concerned about this.   My eyesight is not so bad but there are many worse off than me in that regard.   Placing the points where they have is a good move.

Thanks good buddy. I've already mentioned the faint text to the hosts. I'm sure they'll be hearing that alot.

As a test let's see how my reply shows up using Bold on my iPad.

    Edit. I like it.

My first thought is: 'hey, I'm at a desktop,

    not a tablet

    or      phone

    or      watch

    or      glasses

    or      microfilm.'

I'm not whelmed by these whims in any

    way.

This looks to me like some books for 3

    year olds.

It is a needless sea of white.

I guess sometimes less is just less.

I don't like it, but I am very aware that that does not matter at all.

I think it's absolutely ******* atrocious.  Full stop.  Normally I don't care enough about a website's redesign to feel one way or the other about it, but this is just awful.  I mean, incredibly, horribly awful.

Well, so far, I can't see which threads are read and which aren't on any page except my own subscriptions. Unread used to be bold. Hopefully, that's a setting I'm missing.

The first major annoyance is that it appears very difficult to tell who a post is from. Now, instead of being able to easily look down the left side, the name and avatar of the poster is buried at the bottom of their post.

And way, way, WAY too much white space. Did I mention too much white space?

And what's with the having to hit a button to get All Replies? It seems fairly obvious that the intent is to discourage discussion and focus on answers. I think this is a mistake. Someone comes looking for an answer and sees the very question they have but with no "helpful answers". I'd guess their first thought would be that the question has not answers. We all know that may well not be the case. Often, a question requires a back and forth, a series of incremental fixes, or just enough questions to determine what the problem really is. This is just encouraging drive-bys.

This is beyond awful. All the whitespace is just wasted. Space + 1/2 between lines, double space+1/2 between paragraphs.

On my iPad air, the font is huge, only 26 lines in landscape mode. When I switch to portrait, the text doesn't reformat for the width, so it spills off the right side.

The poster name is hidden below the bottom of the post, so you cannot tell who you're reading.

Cannot go direct to most recent post; must go to bottom of first page and Read All Replies first. This is a pain for multi-year threads.

All this well-padded decoration just wastes useful screen space also. I suppose this looks good on whatever screen the designer was using, but they failed to test it on the range of likely user products.

Also, it looks like we've lost the "edit" option. Too bad.

No, edit is hidden in the down arrow menu next to Helpful(0). Gotit. And you can edit any recent post, apparently.
