Q: Skipping first second of songs

Hi

This is something I've noticed since updating my Apple Music with the latest update, it seems to skip the first second of every song. It's strange because if I am listening to a song and rewind it to the start, it will play from the very start of the song as it should.

It may not sound a huge deal but it is especially annoying when listening to an album that has smooth transitions into each song as it just ends up sounding like its jumped forward (well, which it has).

I've reinstalled the app hoping it would solve it (losing all my downloaded music in the process), but the same problem persists.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

John

    Thanks for the reply.

I've tried all the steps in the article and still no luck! It can't be only me surely, I mean I've already uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

It happens on every song, ones I've downloaded and ones I haven't. My only thought is that it might be buffering for a second every time and that's what causes it to miss the first second, which might explain why if I rewind a song I'm already playing to the start then it plays fine as it's already buffered.

The frustrating thing is it only seemed to start doing it once I downloaded the latest update, it was working fine before.

Apple just released an updated beta version of Apple Music on Android a few days ago and it fixes this issue.
