Q: Error message when trying to update birth date for child
My children already have Apple Id.
I'm setting up Family Sharing, and have added them to the Family using their Apple Id.
The year of birth isn't associated with their profile (guess it wasn't necessary at the time of creating the profiles).
So I try to update the year of birth, following the instruction provided on several Apple Support pages, e.g. Family Sharing and Apple ID for your child - Apple Support that says "If your child already has an Apple ID, you can update their email address, date of birth, security questions, and more." (date of birth => link: Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID - Apple Support)
BUT no matter where and how I try to update the year of birth, I get the error message, that it can't be updated for the time being ...
(screenshot in Danish wording)
How do I update the year of birth? Or when will it be possible to make the update?
Regards,
Michael

GOOD NEWS!
I solved the mystery!
As the Apple Ids has been created several years ago, only the day and month of the date of birth was fill in.
So when entering the Apple Id on eg. appleid.apple.com one had to update the profile filling in the year of the date of birth. When trying to enter the correct year, the error message was shown, and one couldn't continue (couldn't log in).
What I did was: Update the profile with a fictive year, eg. 1980. This was accepted, and access to the profile was granted. From "within" I updated the profile with the correct year of birth of my child, and voila! the flow from there was as stated on the support pages. That is the parent/"family sharing organizer" got an email asking to authorize the change form within my own profile.
