Q: Apple tv not setting date and time

Hoe do you set date And time on Apple tv

That is set automatically. It is having trouble because you aren't properly connected to the network.

 

Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)

If on wifi try ethernet

Make sure router has port 123 open (refer to manual if unsure)

Test on another network

    If you cannot open port 123, or if it just doesn't work (BT subscribers seem to have this problem), you could try using a WiFi hotspot on your phone to complete setup. That has worked for some others.
