Q: My iPhone 5 touch does not work sometimes while receiving calls

The following steps can resolve this issue:
- If you have a case or screen protector on your device, try removing it.
- Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Unplug your device.
- Restart your device. If you can't restart it, you can force restart your device

When experiencing these types of issues, it's important to find out if the software, content, or hardware is the cause. To resolve software issues, the next step is to back up and restore the iPhone through iTunes on a Mac or PC. Restoring takes the iPhone back to factory settings so it's very important that you back up first. Once the phone is restored, you can restore your backup to get your content back.
